Ethical Friends of Children
Ethical Friends of Children is an outreach program of the Ethical Humanist Society of Long Island. We assist children and their families by providing them with clothing and infant furniture at no cost. Our “store” –staffed entirely by volunteers– lets families pick out the things they need, at no cost to them.
Ethical Friends of Children serves over 2500 children per year. We need your donations! These include bassinettes, cribs that conform to the newest safety standards, portable cribs, new crib mattresses, high chairs, car seats, infant carriers, strollers, bed linens, children’s clothing of all sizes, toys, books, diapers, wipes, baby bottles, and formula. (No adult clothing, please.) All cash donations go directly to purchasing needed items.
New or gently used items can be dropped off at our building during normal business hours. All donations are tax deductible. Contact EFOC Director Jim LoPresti at efoc@ehsli.org, or call 516-280-5526. Thank you!
