Nassau County District Attorney Madeline Singas discussed the opportunities and challenges facing local prosecutors as they work to keep our communities safe, support crime victims, and ensure that offenders face justice in a system that safeguards their rights. Ms. Singas  focused on recently-established units with the District Attorney’s office that dedicate special resources to protecting vulnerable communities. She specifically highlighted the office’s Elder Crimes Unit, Hate Crimes Unit, and Immigrant Frauds Unit, while discussing the opportunities and challenges facing local prosecutors as they work to keep our communities safe, support crime victims and ensure that offenders face justice in a system that safeguards their rights.
