To care for anyone else enough
to make their problems one's own,
is ever the beginning of one's
real ethical development.

Louis Marzella: Fighting Back: Grassroots Mobilization in a Time of Unprecedented Attacks on Reproductive Freedom

08 Dec 2019 | 11:00 am

Join a robust discussion on the most recent attacks on access to reproductive and sexual health care and the ways in which Planned Parenthood is mobilizing across the country and on Long Island to resist these injustices.

Louis Marzella has been with Planned Parenthood of Nassau County’s (PPNC) Public Affairs Department since January 2018. His background is in sociology, English, and communication. In his role at PPNC, Louis works to engage communities in advocating for justice on all fronts, with particular interest in reproductive and sexual health care, LGBTQ justice, and reforming the criminal justice system. In addition to working full-time at Planned Parenthood, he is enrolled in Stony Brook University’s Master’s of Social Work (MSW) program and is set to graduate in 2021. He aspires to be a clinical social worker, but will always make social justice and community organizing a priority.
