Many musicians and people from all walks of life were heavily influenced by The Beatles. Their musicianship, their song writing and the way they lived their lives had a heavy impact on people all around the world. Although the band broke up in 1970, they continue to affect generations, as people continue to discover and rediscover how they influenced rock and roll with their messages of love and humanity.
Sharon Stanley asserts that many of The Beatles’ songs reflect ideals present in humanism and she will enlist a multimedia presentation to support her premise. Come and enjoy the excitement and the sounds and the humanism of The Beatles!Sharon Stanley is a retired special education teacher. Her family have been members of the Ethical Humanist Society of Long Island for over 20 years. She is also the chapter chairperson of our American Humanist Association’s affiliate group, “Humanists of Long Island” and has recently been elected to the board of directors of the American Ethical Union.
