Nuzhat Quaderi is the Long Island Coordinator for ERASE Racism — an advocacy group whose mission is to expose forms of racial discrimination and advocate for laws and policies that help eliminate racial disparities, particularly in the areas of housing, community development, public education and health.

She will provide a brief overview of the realities of structural racism on Long Island, describe ERASE Racism’s work in eliminating barriers to racial equity, and discuss actions we can all take in solidarity  to move towards a Long Island that is no longer divided by race. She will share her personal ethical perspective, as an individual who grew up and went through the public school system on Long Island.
