To care for anyone else enough
to make their problems one's own,
is ever the beginning of one's
real ethical development.

Caring Connection

Members of The Caring Connection make calls, pay visits, send cards, and provide transportation for those who can’t drive. We also check in on members who may be ill or haven’t been to the Society for a while.

We can get through this togetherThe name was revised from the “caring committee” to “The Caring Connection” because the word “committee” implies that only a select few are responsible for making these contacts. As Ethical Humanists, we all play a role – it’s a core part of who we are. “Create a caring world” begins with us.

Members are working to make this happen, but cannot do it alone. Everyone’s help and involvement is needed. What can you do? Make calls? Visit? Let us know – and feel free to pass along any suggestions.

Please contact Jim LoPresti or Lois Blatt at caringconnection@ehsli.org or call the EHSLI office at 516-741-7304 to leave a message – one of them will get back to you as soon as possible.
