To care for anyone else enough
to make their problems one's own,
is ever the beginning of one's
real ethical development.

Student Activist Grant

The Student Activist Grant offers financial help to middle and high school students (ages 12 to 18) in Nassau County who want to make a better world.  Students are encouraged to apply for the grant to support their efforts to start a new social action project or do fundraising for an existing program. The grant provides seed money to help the recipient with materials or other costs so that their social action project can be achieved.

Download the grant application here.

A panel from the Ethical Humanist Society will determine the best project for consideration.

The application deadline is November 30, with projects to be completed by April 30 of the following year. The grant recipient will be expected to attend one of our Sunday morning meetings in May to describe his or her project.
