I am a foreigner who came to the USA for grad school in 2013, I am pursuing my second Masters in healthcare management. I have a huge problem with the existing socioeconomic system, because I see its bad side pretty much every day in my field of work in physical rehabilitation. Much of my time is spent daydreaming about how we can devise a better system of interpersonal relationships that is not dictated by money or materialism. I try to calm down by painting, writing, kayaking, riding my bicycle and trying to fix things instead of throwing them out. I love camping and being in nature as much as possible. I recently discovered photography to be a very calming hobby. I really wish we could make this world a better place, I know we might be in the right direction but its not happening fast enough for me.

Favourite Movies:

“Waking Life” and “The invention of Lying.” I love waking life for these lines in it “Resistance is not futile, we’re gonna win this thing, humankind is too good, we’re not a bunch of under-achievers! We’re gonna stand up, and we’re gonna be human beings. We’re going to get fired up about the real things, the things that matter! Creativity, and the dynamic human spirit that refuses to submit.”

My last meal would be: hummus, veggie chips, coconut water and maybe a falafel done vegan style

Favourite thing to do on weekends: clean my belongings and try to go camping, hiking, biking or kayaking. Cleaning is very cathartic for me.

Ideal vacation: in a small camper in the middle of a forest with a small lake or river nearby.

Favourite quote: You’re only given a little spark of madness. You mustn’t lose it. –Robin Williams.

Hero: My dad, for all he accomplished even after all that he has gone through and his general views on life, humanity and materialism.

If I could do one thing over in life: To stand up for myself and vocalize how I feel earlier in life.

One thing I want to do before I die: do something artistically that can make people understand their interdependence and how fickle human life is in the grand scheme of things.

Why am I a member of EHSLI: Because it is the best entity capable of piquing my curiosity and attempts to answer some of the concerns I have about humanity in general. I am also among like-minded people.
